Ferrari 12Cilindri Launching in India Soon; Prices Start at Rs 8.5 Crore

Ferrari is set to introduce the highly anticipated 12Cilindri in India, with an official launch expected in the coming months and deliveries commencing in the latter half of the year. While bookings have been open for some time, the ex-showroom India prices are now confirmed—starting at Rs 8.5 crore for the coupe and Rs 9.15 crore for the Spider variant.

A Worthy Successor to the 812 Superfast

The Ferrari 12Cilindri continues the brand’s legacy of front-engine, two-door grand touring supercars. It houses an advanced iteration of Ferrari’s revered 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering an impressive 830hp to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transaxle automatic gearbox. Notably, Ferrari has preserved the purity of its V12 powerplant, opting against turbocharging or hybrid technology, a move that enthusiasts will undoubtedly appreciate. The design also takes inspiration from legendary Ferrari V12 berlinettas, most notably the iconic 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

Competition and Market Positioning

The 12Cilindri will take on rivals like the soon-to-launch V12-powered Aston Martin Vanquish in India. Unlike previous Ferrari releases where convertibles followed the coupe by a few years, both body styles will be available from the outset.

India-Specific Enhancements and Features

Ferrari is known for its extensive—and often costly—options list, where even fundamental features require additional customization. However, for the Indian market, certain features will be included as standard. Though specifics remain under wraps, these could likely include popular add-ons such as the front nose lift system, Scuderia Ferrari shields on the fenders, and custom-painted brake calipers. Additionally, a base level of interior personalization may be bundled in, making the high price tag slightly more palatable for buyers.

More Affordable Than the Purosangue

Interestingly, the 12Cilindri is priced lower than Ferrari’s first SUV, the Purosangue, which debuted in India at Rs 10.5 crore in 2024. Despite its steep price and limited availability, the Purosangue has been in high demand, with order books already full until 2026.

What’s Next for Ferrari in India?

While Ferrari’s upcoming launches remain speculative, enthusiasts can expect track-focused versions such as a ‘Speciale’ or ‘Pista’ variant of the 296 GTB. A successor to the Roma and the highly awaited Ferrari EV are also on the horizon.

The 12Cilindri’s arrival reaffirms Ferrari’s commitment to keeping the V12 engine alive in its purest form, delivering an exhilarating blend of heritage, performance, and cutting-edge technology for Indian supercar aficionados.
