The highly anticipated 2025 Citroën C5 Aircross has been revealed through leaked patent images, giving us a glimpse of its final production design. First showcased as a concept in October 2024, the new-generation SUV stays true to its previewed styling while introducing subtle refinements. Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, the C5 Aircross is expected to make its official debut later this year.
Design: Evolution with Modern Touches
The next-gen C5 Aircross retains Citroën’s signature design language, blending sharp lines with smooth curves. Taking inspiration from the 2022 Oli Concept, it sports sleek LED headlights with a distinctive three-piece C-shaped DRL layout. The front bumper features a two-tone finish with a wide air intake, reinforcing its bold stance.
Along the sides, the concept’s flush door handles have been replaced with conventional pull-type ones, while pronounced plastic cladding over the wheel arches enhances its rugged appeal. The alloy wheels adopt a petal-like design, and the D-pillar detailing creates a floating roof effect. At the rear, the C-shaped taillights are connected by an LED light bar, and the bumper continues the two-tone theme for a cohesive look.
Interior & Dimensions: More Space Expected
While the interior remains under wraps, the new C5 Aircross is expected to offer more cabin space than its predecessor. Measuring 4,650mm in length—150mm longer than the current model—the SUV’s increased dimensions could translate to improved passenger comfort and cargo capacity.
Powertrain Options: Hybrid & Electric Variants Expected
Marking a significant step forward, the 2025 C5 Aircross will be the first Citroën to ride on the STLA Medium platform. While official powertrain details are yet to be disclosed, the lineup is expected to include both hybrid and fully electric versions, aligning with Citroën’s electrification strategy.
Global Debut & India Launch Prospects
Citroën is set to officially unveil the new C5 Aircross later this year. The current model is assembled in India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits, but there’s no confirmation yet on whether the next-gen version will follow suit. More details are expected as the launch approaches, so stay tuned.
