BMW Launches F 900 GS Lineup in India, Starting at Rs 13.75 Lakh

BMW has introduced its latest adventure motorcycle range in India with the F 900 GS, priced at Rs 13.75 lakh, and its touring-focused sibling, the F 900 GS Adventure, at Rs 14.75 lakh.

Both models are powered by an upgraded version of the 853cc parallel-twin engine from the previous F 850 GS, now bored out to 895cc. This increase in displacement boosts performance, delivering 105hp and 93Nm of torque. The bikes feature a bridge-type frame, with each model sporting a distinct rear subframe.

Key differences between the standard GS and the Adventure model include a larger fuel tank (23 litres vs 14.5 litres) and a more substantial seat on the Adventure. Additionally, the F 900 GS Adventure maintains styling closer to its predecessors, while the F 900 GS adopts a more minimalist design, showcasing a slimmer profile and a single headlight reminiscent of the smaller G 310 GS.

The Adventure model is notably heavier, weighing in at 246kg, which is 20kg more than the standard GS. Despite this, both bikes share the same 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, as well as identical suspension travel. A new 6.5-inch TFT display, common to both models, allows riders to manage various features, including riding modes, traction control, cruise control, and heated grips.

Bookings for both motorcycles are now open, with deliveries expected to commence in October. The outgoing F 850 GS is still listed on BMW Motorrad’s website, but likely only until current stock is sold out.
