Bajaj Auto has updated the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with a new 349cc engine, while keeping the price unchanged. The motorcycle continues to be listed at Rs 1,93,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it one of the most value-packed performance bikes in its segment.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Gets New 349cc Engine
The biggest update to the Pulsar NS400Z is its revised 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The motor now delivers 40bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.
Compared to the earlier 373cc engine, power and torque figures have slightly reduced. However, the new setup is expected to offer a sharper and more engaging top-end performance, especially for riders who enjoy spirited riding.
Shared Engine with Bajaj Dominar 400?
The updated engine is likely based on the same platform used in the recently refreshed Bajaj Dominar 400. In that motorcycle, Bajaj revised the engine internals by shortening the stroke while retaining the same bore dimensions.
This engineering change typically results in a freer-revving engine character, smoother refinement, and stronger high-rpm response.
No Design or Hardware Changes
Apart from the engine revision, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to feature:
- Aggressive naked streetfighter styling
- Strong perimeter frame chassis
- Upside-down front forks
- Rear monoshock suspension
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- 320mm front disc brake
- 230mm rear disc brake
- Dual-channel ABS
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Price in India
The updated Pulsar NS400Z is still priced at Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), despite the mechanical revision. This unchanged pricing could make it an attractive option for buyers looking for a powerful street bike under Rs 2 lakh.
Should You Buy the New Pulsar NS400Z?
For riders seeking aggressive styling, strong road presence, modern hardware, and accessible performance, the updated NS400Z remains a compelling package. With its new engine setup and unchanged price tag, Bajaj appears focused on offering better rideability without affecting affordability.
