Audi Q8 Facelift Launched in India at ₹1.17 Crore

Audi India has introduced the facelifted Q8, with prices starting at ₹1.17 crore. While the SUV’s powertrain remains unchanged, the update brings several cosmetic enhancements and new features to the table.

Power and Performance

The facelifted Q8 continues to be powered by the robust 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine, delivering 340hp and 500Nm of torque. It is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, ensuring a seamless driving experience. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which channels power to all four wheels, maintaining the Q8’s dynamic performance.

Exterior and Interior Design

One of the most significant upgrades in the new Q8 is the introduction of HD Matrix LED headlights, complete with laser technology for high beams and customizable light signatures. The front grille has been subtly revised, now featuring octagonal apertures and distinctive ‘L’-shaped inserts. The air intakes on the bumper have also been reshaped. At the rear, the Q8 now boasts digital OLED tail lights with four customizable light designs that interact with the headlights, offering a more futuristic aesthetic.

Inside, the facelifted Q8 retains the luxurious ambiance of its predecessor. Changes are minimal, with updates limited to new stitching patterns and color schemes. The cabin continues to feature Audi’s dual MMI touchscreens, four-zone climate control, a head-up display, and seats that offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The Bang & Olufsen sound system remains a key feature. The updated model also includes an expanded app store with built-in third-party music apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. Additionally, the driver assistance systems have been enhanced for a safer and more intuitive driving experience.

Pricing and Competition

With a starting price of ₹1.17 crore, the facelifted Q8 is ₹10 lakh more expensive than its predecessor. Although it doesn’t have direct competitors in the coupe-SUV segment, it offers a compelling alternative to more traditional luxury SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
