All cars, SUVs under Rs 10 lakh with a sunroof

Sunroofs are becoming increasingly popular in the Indian automotive market, with more manufacturers including this feature even in budget-friendly models. Currently, there are nine cars and SUVs available for under Rs 10 lakh that come equipped with a single-pane electric sunroof. Here’s a rundown of these vehicles:

1. Tata Altroz

Price: Starting at Rs 7.45 lakh

The Tata Altroz is the most affordable car in India with an electric sunroof, available from the XM S variant onwards. Other variants under Rs 10 lakh with this feature include the XM+S, XZ+S, XZ+ S Lux, and XZ+ (O) S. The Altroz offers multiple engine options, including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, petrol-CNG, 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (Altroz Racer).

2. Hyundai Exter

Price: Starting at Rs 8.23 lakh

The Hyundai Exter is the most affordable SUV in India with an electric sunroof, available from the SX variant onwards. Other variants under Rs 10 lakh include the SX (O), SX(O) Connect, and the Knight edition versions of these variants. The Exter is powered by a 83hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, with an optional CNG powertrain.

3. Kia Sonet

Price: Starting at Rs 8.29 lakh

The Kia Sonet HTE (O) variant, priced at Rs 8.29 lakh, is the most affordable version with an electric sunroof. The HTK (O) variant, starting at Rs 9.37 lakh, also offers this feature. These variants come with either a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Higher trims also offer a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol powertrain.

4. Tata Punch

Price: Starting at Rs 8.35 lakh

The Tata Punch offers a sunroof from the Accomplished S variant onwards, with prices starting at Rs 8.35 lakh. Other sunroof-equipped variants include the Accomplished Dazzle S (Rs 8.75 lakh) and the Creative S (Rs 9.30 lakh). The Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 86hp and 113Nm of torque, with a CNG option also available.

5. Mahindra XUV300

Price: Starting at Rs 8.99 lakh

The Mahindra XUV300 offers a single-pane sunroof from the MX2 Pro variant onwards, priced at Rs 8.99 lakh. The MX3 (Rs 9.49 lakh) and MX3 Pro (Rs 9.99 lakh) variants also come with a sunroof. The XUV300 is available with a 111hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 131hp, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol, and a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine.

6. Hyundai i20

Price: Starting at Rs 9.34 lakh

The Hyundai i20 comes with an electric sunroof starting from the Asta variant, priced at Rs 9.34 lakh. The Asta (O) variant, priced at Rs 10 lakh, also includes this feature. The i20 is equipped with a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine producing 83hp and 115Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or an optional CVT automatic gearbox.

7. Hyundai Venue

Price: Starting at Rs 9.35 lakh

Hyundai recently introduced the S+ variant of the Venue, making it the most affordable variant with a sunroof, starting at Rs 9.35 lakh. Additionally, the new S(O)+ variant, priced at Rs 10 lakh, also comes with an electric sunroof.

8. Tata Nexon

Price: Starting at Rs 9.40 lakh

The Tata Nexon’s Smart+ S variant, priced at Rs 9.40 lakh, is the only variant under Rs 10 lakh that comes with a sunroof. This popular compact SUV may soon offer a panoramic sunroof and a DCT automatic gearbox for its diesel engine variant.

9. Hyundai i20 N Line

Price: Starting at Rs 10 lakh

The Hyundai i20 N Line is priced from Rs 10 lakh, with the entry-level N6 variant featuring a sunroof. Both the N6 and N8 trims come standard with a sunroof. The sporty hatchback is powered by a 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
