Suzuki has rolled out the 2025 iteration of its popular mid-size adventure motorcycle, the V-Strom 800DE, in India, priced at ₹10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest version sees only a few minor updates, maintaining its core mechanical package while aligning with the latest regulatory norms.
What’s New for 2025?
The most notable update is the bike’s compliance with OBD-2B emission norms, ensuring it meets the latest environmental standards. In terms of aesthetics, a new Pearl Tech White paint option has been introduced, now paired with stylish blue wheels. The previous colour options – Glass Sparkle Black and Champion Yellow No. 2 – remain unchanged.
Unchanged Under the Skin
Mechanically, the V-Strom 800DE remains identical to the previous model. It continues to be powered by a 776cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 84hp and 78Nm of torque. The motorcycle tips the scales at 232kg and features a robust 220mm suspension travel, which, along with its 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, gives it genuine off-road prowess. Suspension components remain fully adjustable, and the 5-inch TFT dash is retained without changes.
Price Remains Unchanged
Interestingly, despite the new model year and compliance upgrades, Suzuki has held the price steady. Initially introduced at ₹10.30 lakh in March 2024, the V-Strom 800DE continues to retail at the same price for 2025, offering strong value in the premium adventure segment.
