Mahindra has given its popular lifestyle SUV, the Thar, a mid-cycle refresh for 2025. Prices now start at ₹9.99 lakh and go up to ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift brings a host of feature upgrades and interior improvements, while the tried-and-tested powertrains remain unchanged. Interestingly, the new Thar does not come with a soft-top option at launch.
Prices and Variants
The 2025 Thar facelift is priced lower at the entry point compared to the outgoing model, undercutting it by ₹32,000. At the top end, however, prices have gone up slightly, with the fully-loaded LXT 4WD AT now retailing at ₹16.99 lakh – ₹38,000 more than before.

What’s New on the Outside
The facelifted Thar doesn’t look drastically different, but a few touches keep it fresh. It gets a body-coloured front grille, a redesigned dual-tone bumper, and two new paint shades – Tango Red (replacing the older red) and Battleship Grey. Beyond these, the SUV retains its familiar boxy stance, circular headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, and signature tail-lamps.

With prices starting lower than before, refreshed interiors, a larger touchscreen, and added convenience features, the 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift looks like a more practical yet equally rugged lifestyle SUV. While purists may miss the soft-top option, the changes should keep the Thar appealing to both off-road enthusiasts and urban buyers alike.
