This updated version of the popular middleweight naked bike brings a host of new features, refreshed styling, and improved electronic aids, while continuing to deliver the thrilling performance it’s known for.

What’s New on the 2025 Kawasaki Z900?

Although the core mechanicals—such as the 948cc inline-four engine and trellis frame—remain unchanged, the 2025 Z900 receives a significant overhaul in terms of styling, technology, and equipment. The engine continues to produce 125hp and 98.6Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed gearbox.

Major Updates:

  • New Styling: The front end now features a redesigned headlight that takes cues from the smaller Kawasaki Z500, giving the Z900 a sharper and more modern look.

  • Enhanced Electronics:

    • A new 5-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster replaces the older display.

    • Revised switchgear taken from the Ninja 1000SX offers better ergonomics and functionality.

    • Ride-by-wire throttle system enables the addition of cruise control and a bidirectional quickshifter.

    • A new 5-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) supports advanced electronic aids, including multiple power modes, traction control, riding modes, and dual-channel ABS.

Improved Hardware:

  • Braking System: The older axial calipers have been replaced by more powerful radially-mounted 4-piston Nissin calipers, paired with 300mm dual discs up front.

  • Tyres: New Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres replace the outgoing Roadsport 2 units, promising improved grip and performance. Tyre sizes, however, remain unchanged.

The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 is priced at ₹9.52 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in two colour schemes:

This marks a price increase of ₹14,000 over the previous model.
