Bajaj has introduced the updated 2025 Pulsar NS400Z, now priced at ₹1.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This marks a modest ₹7,000 price increase over the initial model, while bringing noticeable improvements in performance and equipment, further enhancing its value-for-money appeal.
More Power and Higher Revving Engine
The NS400Z’s 373cc engine has received a slight performance bump. It now produces 43hp at 9,500rpm, which is a 3hp increase, and the redline has been raised to 10,700rpm, up by 1,000rpm. While peak torque remains at 35Nm, it now arrives 500rpm later, giving the engine a more top-end focused power delivery.
Upgraded Tyres and Braking Hardware
Bajaj has replaced the older MRF bias-ply tyres with Apollo Alpha H1 radials. These are sized 110/70-ZR17 at the front and 150/60-ZR17 at the rear, with the rear tyre being wider than before for improved grip. The braking setup has also been upgraded with sintered brake pads up front, replacing the earlier organic ones for better braking performance.
New Features and Quickshifter Added
A notable addition is the bidirectional quickshifter, a first for any Bajaj motorcycle. It works exclusively in Sport mode, which has now been fine-tuned for a sharper throttle response. The other three riding modes — Road, Rain, and Off-road — remain unchanged.
Same Dimensions, Improved Dynamics
Despite the updates, the Pulsar NS400Z retains its core mechanical dimensions. It continues to feature a 12-litre fuel tank, 174kg kerb weight, a seat height of 805mm, and 165mm of ground clearance, making it accessible yet practical for daily and spirited riding.
Design and Colour Options
The design remains largely familiar, but Bajaj has refreshed the look with new graphics and decals. It’s still offered in four colours: white, red, grey, and black.
With its updated engine, better tyres, improved brakes, and the addition of a quickshifter, the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z packs more punch while maintaining a competitive price tag. It’s a clear signal that Bajaj is serious about offering enthusiasts a feature-rich, performance-focused motorcycle without breaking the bank.
