Yamaha’s Diverse Showcase
Yamaha made a strong presence at the Bharat Mobility Expo, showcasing its complete Indian two-wheeler lineup alongside select international models. Among the notable inclusions were the R7, MT-07, and flagship R1M, adding to the anticipation of their impending launch in India. While the R7 and MT-07 are set to arrive in the coming months, the status of the mighty R1’s return to Indian shores remains uncertain.
International Imports and New Colorways
Yamaha’s middleweight offerings, the MT-07 and R7, are slated for India as completely built unit (CBU) imports, signaling a potentially higher price range. The Yamaha pavilion also featured the FZ-S V4 DLX in two fresh hues – Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Sparkle Green. Meanwhile, the FZ-X debuted a stylish new chrome colorway.
Yamaha Nmax 155 and Grand Filano Steal the Spotlight
While the recently launched R3 and MT-03 garnered attention, the spotlight also fell on the Nmax 155 and the all-new Grand Filano. The Nmax 155, a conventional maxi-scooter, shares its lineage with the Aerox 155, already available in the Indian market. Powered by the same 155cc liquid-cooled engine, it promises a familiar yet exciting ride.
In contrast, the Grand Filano stands out with a distinctive character. Equipped with a 125cc engine featuring mild-hybrid technology, this scooter boasts a neo-retro design reminiscent of the popular Fascino model available in India. Yamaha’s foray into this new segment adds an intriguing option for enthusiasts looking for a blend of style and technology.
Yamaha’s showcase at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 not only highlighted its commitment to the Indian market but also teased enthusiasts with a diverse and exciting array of two-wheelers. The upcoming launches and the introduction of the Grand Filano reflect Yamaha’s strategy to cater to a wide range of preferences in the ever-evolving Indian two-wheeler landscape.
