Volkswagen Taigun facelift Launched in India

Volkswagen has launched the updated Taigun facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 19.3 lakh. The refreshed compact SUV brings subtle design revisions, new features, improved gearbox options and added safety equipment.

The company has also introduced an assured buyback scheme offering 75 percent of the ex-showroom value for up to 3 years or 30,000km. This scheme is valid on bookings made till May 31, 2026.

The Taigun facelift is slightly more expensive than its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq facelift, and is also priced higher than the new Renault Duster in terms of entry-level pricing.

Volkswagen has also improved air-conditioning performance with a variable geometry compressor.

The Volkswagen Taigun facelift competes in the midsize SUV segment with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder and the new Renault Duster.

Verdict

The Taigun facelift brings meaningful updates in terms of features, gearbox options and safety improvements. While pricing remains on the higher side, the added equipment and buyback scheme make it a stronger overall package in the segment.
