Bajaj Auto has refreshed its popular 125cc commuter motorcycle lineup with the launch of the updated Pulsar 125, now priced from Rs 89,910 (ex-showroom). The latest update focuses on modernising the motorcycle’s styling and lighting while keeping its proven mechanical package intact.
What’s New in the Updated Pulsar 125?
The biggest highlight of the update is the addition of full-LED lighting. The motorcycle now comes equipped with a new LED headlamp and LED turn indicators, enhancing night-time visibility and giving it a more premium, contemporary look. This headlamp design was recently seen on the updated Pulsar 150 and has now made its way to the 125cc model.
Bajaj has also introduced new colour schemes and revised graphics, with fresh detailing on the fuel tank, side panels, and engine cowl to keep the Pulsar 125 visually appealing for younger buyers.
Features and Hardware
While the styling gets an upgrade, the core hardware remains unchanged. The Pulsar 125 continues to use:
-
Conventional telescopic front forks
-
Twin rear shock absorbers
-
17-inch alloy wheels
-
Front disc brake and rear drum brake setup
The bike also retains its fully digital instrument cluster, which offers Bluetooth connectivity for added convenience.
Engine and Performance
Powering the updated Pulsar 125 is the familiar 124.4cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 11.8hp and 10.8Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, known for its smooth and reliable performance in daily commuting conditions.
Variants and Prices
The updated Pulsar 125 is offered in two variants:
-
Carbon Single Seat – Rs 89,910
-
Carbon Split Seat – Rs 92,046
Interestingly, both variants are Rs 2,400 more affordable than the outgoing versions, making the updated model better value for money. However, the Pulsar 125 Neon remains unchanged and does not receive these updates.
Final Thoughts
With LED lighting, refreshed styling, and a lower starting price, the updated Bajaj Pulsar 125 strengthens its position in the competitive 125cc commuter segment. It continues to target buyers looking for a sporty design, proven reliability, and everyday usability—now with a more modern touch.
