Ultraviolette has expanded its lineup with the launch of the Shockwave, a high-performance electric bike, priced at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the first 1,000 units. After this introductory period, the price will rise to ₹1.75 lakh.
Ultraviolette Shockwave: Key Highlights
- Lightweight Electric Enduro: The Shockwave weighs just 120kg, designed for agility and off-road capability.
- Performance: It delivers 14.7hp of peak power and an impressive 505Nm at the wheel, aided by gearing multiplication. It boasts a top speed of 120kph and accelerates from 0-60kph in just 2.9 seconds, matching Ultraviolette’s Tesseract.
- Battery & Range: While the battery capacity remains undisclosed, the company claims an IDC range of 165km per charge.
- Suspension & Braking: The bike features a 37mm USD fork (200mm travel) at the front and a monoshock (180mm travel) at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 270mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc.
- Tyres & Wheels: It rides on a 90/90-R19 front tyre and a 110/90-R17 rear tyre, enhancing stability across terrains.
- Color Options: Available in yellow/black and white/red.
Launch & Future Plans
Deliveries for the Shockwave will begin in Q1 2026, alongside the Tesseract. Ultraviolette has also revealed that it operates across five platforms—F (sportbikes), S (scooters), L (lightweight bikes), and two more yet-to-be-disclosed categories, X and B.
With the Shockwave, Ultraviolette continues to push the boundaries of electric mobility, offering a compelling alternative for adventure and urban riders alike.
