TVS Raider 125 Sales Cross 1.6 Million Units in Four Years | Key Sales Milestones

TVS Raider 125 Sales Cross 1.6 Million

The TVS Raider 125, launched on September 16, 2021, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1.6 million sales worldwide in just four years. Positioned as a sporty 125cc commuter motorcycle, the Raider created a new niche in India’s commuter bike market and continues to play a vital role in TVS Motor Company’s sales story.

TVS Raider’s Sales Performance

The Raider 125 was quick to climb the sales charts after its launch. In FY2022, it averaged 12,000 units per month in the last six months, totaling 76,742 units, before surging 212% YoY to reach nearly 2.40 lakh units in FY2023.

Sales Moderation in FY2025 and FY2026

Despite its strong start, the Raider has recently faced challenges in a segment it pioneered.

Competition has intensified with the arrival of the Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar N125, and Honda CB125 Hornet. Meanwhile, the Honda Shine 125 continues to dominate the commuter bike segment, selling over 5.71 lakh units in April–July 2025 alone.

TVS Raider in Export Markets

The Raider has also made a mark globally, shipping 2.45 lakh units overseas since launch.

Exports are expected to play an even bigger role in strengthening the Raider’s position worldwide.

Impact of GST 2.0 on Raider Sales

The implementation of GST 2.0, which reduced tax on two-wheelers under 350cc from 28% to 18%, is expected to boost demand for the TVS Raider 125. The lower pricing should make it more attractive to buyers who want a sporty yet affordable 125cc motorcycle with premium features.
