Triumph Unveils Rocket 3 Evel Knievel Limited Editions

Triumph Motorcycles has introduced two exclusive limited-edition models of its Rocket 3 lineup—the Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT—paying tribute to legendary stuntman Evel Knievel.

Knievel’s association with Triumph dates back to the 1960s when he performed some of his most iconic stunts, including the infamous jump over the fountains at Caesars Palace, on Triumph motorcycles. While the Rocket 3’s considerable weight might not have been Knievel’s choice for stunt riding, its bold design captures the spirit of his legacy.

These special editions feature a design inspired by Knievel’s iconic white jumpsuit, complete with stars and stripes. Both the Rocket 3 R and GT showcase chrome-finished fuel tanks accented by matte Sapphire Black panels and matching rear bodywork. Leather seats embossed with Knievel’s gold-embroidered signature logo add a touch of exclusivity, along with a custom start-up animation for the instrument cluster.

Additional details include unique black and gold cam cover plates, each individually numbered, ensuring every bike is a collector’s item. Buyers will also receive a limited-edition hardback book detailing Knievel’s legendary stunts and his connection to Triumph. Each book is signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor and numbered to match the accompanying bike.

Mechanically, these limited editions remain consistent with the standard Rocket 3 models. The Rocket 3 R is designed for a more aggressive roadster experience, while the GT leans into cruiser styling with features like a taller flyscreen, pillion grab rail, and forward-positioned footpegs. Both models are powered by a massive 2,500cc three-cylinder engine—the largest in any production motorcycle—producing 182hp and a staggering 221Nm of torque.

In India, the standard Rocket 3 is available in the ‘Storm’ variant, featuring an all-black aesthetic with matte black paint and powder-coated exhaust and engine components. It is priced at ₹21.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the Evel Knievel editions, Triumph blends cutting-edge engineering with the daring spirit of a stunt-riding icon, creating motorcycles that are as bold as the man they honor.
