The latest sales data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) for January 2025 is here, shedding light on the most popular scooters in India. Based on this data, we’ve compiled a list of the top five best-selling scooters, along with their year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) performance trends.
5. Honda Dio 110 & 125

- Dio 125: 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder – 8.28PS @ 6,250rpm, 10.4Nm @ 5,000rpm
Honda recently updated the Dio range with a 4.2-inch TFT console, enhanced features, and an OBD-2B-compliant engine. These upgrades contributed to a significant MoM growth of 77.27%, while YoY growth stood at 0.93%, with 25,114 units sold.

4. Suzuki Burgman Street

Suzuki’s stylish maxi-scooter, the Burgman Street 125, has been enjoying strong sales momentum, with 25,607 units sold in January 2025. It recorded an impressive MoM growth of 25.29% and a remarkable YoY increase of 61.36%.

3. Suzuki Access 125

The Suzuki Access 125 remains a favorite among Indian commuters. Despite an updated OBD-2B-compliant engine, the model saw a slight dip in sales, with 54,587 units sold—reflecting a 4.61% MoM decline and a 1.44% YoY decrease.

2. TVS Jupiter 110 & 125

With 1,07,847 units sold in January 2025, the TVS Jupiter series secured the second spot. The introduction of a refreshed design and a more powerful hybrid-assisted engine helped boost sales by 21.63% MoM, with a YoY growth of 45.29%.

Honda Activa continues to reign as India’s best-selling scooter. With 1,66,739 units sold in January 2025, the Activa range saw an impressive 43.62% MoM growth, though YoY sales declined slightly by 4.21%.
