Statiq Launches EV Charging Station In Amritsar In Partnership With Nexus Malls

In partnership with Nexus Malls, Statiq, India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network provider, has opened its first EV charging station at Nexus Amritsar Mall. The charging station has two fast EV DC Chargers that can charge all kinds of electric cars on the Indian market. Each of these chargers is 60 KW.

In about 40 minutes, the cars can be charged up to 80%. Statiq will open 17 EV Charging hubs in 13 cities, including Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Udaipur, Mangalore, Chandigarh, Mysore, and Indore. Each of these new charging hubs in the mall parking lots will have a mix of slow and fast chargers so that electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers can be easily charged.

“In the last few years, Amritsar is also being turned into a smart city. And a clean and carbon-free transportation system is one of the most important and necessary parts of a smart city ecosystem. It goes without saying that this charging station would make life easier for many EV drivers in the city, making their daily commutes less stressful and more comfortable. At the same time, it would give confidence to people who don’t own EVs and help them decide to switch from mostly gasoline- and diesel-powered cars to EVs. Akshit Bansal, Co-founder and CEO of Statiq, said that this is a huge step toward reducing pollution in a city like Amritsar, which is often ranked as one of the most polluted cities in Punjab.

“With our full-service trips that include food, fun, entertainment, shopping, and more, we’re proud to be the entertainment and leisure hub of the cities where we work. Our Amritsar mall is a lively place where people of all tastes and preferences can hang out. With this partnership with Statiq, the biggest EV charging brand in the country, we want to not only improve the mall-going experience of our EV-driving customers, but also help the government move toward its smart city vision. Cleaner and greener transportation is part of this vision of the future, and we’re glad to be a part of it by working with Statiq, said Col. Mandeep Singh, Center Director of Nexus Amritsar.

Statiq is a company that lets its franchisees use a commercially viable Franchise Business Model to set up and run an EV Charging Station for electric vehicles to meet their daily charging needs. With the new EVs coming out in India, this is a chance for investors to get in on the ground floor of the new EV charging business and get a head start.

Statiq has added a lot of new charging stations to their already large network over the past year. Statiq wants to have a network of about 20,000 charging spots by the end of the year. Each location was chosen by hand for a single reason: it is on a busy street with a lot of people walking by.
