The third-generation Skoda Superb, reintroduced in India in April 2023, is now being offered with significant year-end discounts in select locations. Initially launched as a completely built unit (CBU) import in April 2024, all units were manufactured in 2023. Priced at ₹54 lakh (ex-showroom) when released, Skoda India limited the availability to just 100 units. Despite this exclusivity, some units remain unsold.
Skoda Superb On-Road Price Drops to Around ₹36 Lakh
Although Skoda India has officially declared the imported Superb sold out, dealers still have unsold inventory. Discounts ranging from ₹15 to ₹18 lakh are being offered, bringing the ex-showroom price close to ₹36 lakh. In certain regions of north and central India, unregistered units have also been spotted at multi-brand dealerships. Approximately 20-25 units of the imported Superb are reportedly still available with these benefits nationwide.
Discounts Higher Than ₹18 Lakh at Select Showrooms
The third-gen Superb’s locally assembled version was discontinued in April 2023 due to stricter BS6 Stage 2 emission regulations. It was priced at ₹36 lakh (ex-showroom) before being phased out. With the hefty discounts now available, the imported Superb’s price aligns closely with the discontinued locally assembled variant.
Notably, the imported model offers advanced features such as dynamic chassis control, active tire pressure monitoring, nine airbags, and a larger 9-inch Columbus infotainment system—features absent in the locally assembled version.
At an on-road price of approximately ₹38 lakh in most cities, the imported Superb represents excellent value, especially with its premium features. However, buyers should consider that the manufacturing year is 2023, meaning the car will officially be two years old by 2025.
Key Considerations for Buyers
Discounts and availability vary by city. Prospective buyers should verify stock and discount details with local dealers. When purchasing from multi-brand dealerships, ensure all documentation is in order and proceed cautiously.
