Skoda Peaq Electric SUV: Key Specs, Range, Features and Global Debut Timeline Revealed

Skoda Peaq Electric SUV

Skoda has officially revealed crucial details of its upcoming flagship electric SUV, the Peaq. Positioned as the brand’s most premium EV yet, the Peaq will sit at the top of Skoda’s electric lineup above the Enyaq and Elroq. The production version, inspired by the Vision 7S concept, is set for a global debut in mid-2026 and promises a combination of long range, advanced tech and practical design.

The Peaq is built on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) platform and will be offered in multiple variants with different battery options and drivetrain configurations.

Dimensions and Space

The Skoda Peaq will be the largest production model from the brand to date. It measures 4,874mm in length, has a height of 1,664mm and a wheelbase of 2,965mm. This makes it significantly larger than the Enyaq and even bigger than the Kodiaq in terms of wheelbase.

In terms of practicality, the Peaq will offer exceptional storage capacity. The five-seater version boasts a massive 1,010-litre boot, while the seven-seater variant provides 299 litres of cargo space. Additionally, both versions include a 37-litre front trunk (frunk). Skoda will also introduce a clever QR code feature that helps users understand and optimise boot usage.

Battery, Range and Performance

The Skoda Peaq will be available with two battery packs: a 63kWh unit and a larger 91kWh pack. The entry-level variant with the smaller battery offers a claimed range of over 460km, while the larger battery versions are expected to deliver more than 600km on a single charge.

Three variants will be offered:

Top speed ranges between 160kmph and 180kmph depending on the variant. Fast charging is also a highlight, with all variants capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes.

Interior and Features

The Peaq will offer a tech-rich and comfort-focused cabin. Key highlights include a 13.6-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver display and an augmented reality head-up display.

Other premium features include:

Skoda’s signature ‘Simply Clever’ features will also be present, such as a ticket holder, integrated cleaning cloth and smart storage elements.

Design and Exterior Highlights

The Skoda Peaq adopts the brand’s new Modern Solid design language. While the test models remain camouflaged, visible elements include a bold front fascia with a gloss-black panel, LED Matrix headlights and aerodynamic alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches.

The SUV also features a flat beltline, prominent rear spoiler and multiple colour options. Inside, the cabin will use sustainable and recycled materials, with leather upholstery expected in higher trims.

Launch Timeline and India Prospects

The Skoda Peaq is scheduled for a global reveal in mid-2026. While there is no official confirmation for India yet, the brand had previously showcased the Vision 7S concept at Auto Expo 2025, indicating strong interest in bringing the model to the Indian market.

With its large dimensions, impressive range and feature-loaded cabin, the Skoda Peaq is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium electric SUV segment globally.
