Skoda Kylaq Introductory Prices Extended Until April 30

Skoda has announced that the Kylaq will continue to be available at its introductory price until April 30, 2025. Launched on November 6, 2024, the Kylaq starts at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), making it the most affordable Skoda model currently on sale.

Skoda Kylaq Price List (Ex-Showroom)

Variant Petrol MT Petrol AT
Classic Rs 7.89 lakh
Signature Rs 9.59 lakh Rs 10.59 lakh
Signature+ Rs 11.40 lakh Rs 12.40 lakh
Prestige Rs 13.35 lakh Rs 14.40 lakh

The Kylaq is available in four trims—Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige—offering a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 115hp and 178Nm of torque. While a 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, the Signature, Signature+, and Prestige variants also offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Certain colour options, available from the Signature trim onwards, carry an additional cost of Rs 9,000.

Strong Demand for Kylaq Classic

Since its launch, the Kylaq has seen strong demand, receiving 10,000 bookings within the first 10 days. The entry-level Classic variant, in particular, experienced such high demand that Skoda had to temporarily halt bookings in December, which resumed by late January with a waiting period of up to four months. Skoda plans to deliver 33,000 units by May, prioritizing the higher-end trims. Additionally, the first 33,333 customers will receive a complimentary three-year Standard Maintenance Package (SMP).

Boost in Production to Meet Demand

Manufactured at Skoda’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra, the Kylaq’s production capacity has been increased by 30% to accelerate deliveries. The company has also expanded its supplier base by 10% to ensure quicker component procurement. Skoda aims to produce 50,000 to 70,000 units annually, equating to 4,000–5,800 units per month. While primarily catering to the domestic market, the Kylaq will also be exported to enhance cost efficiencies.

Skoda Records Highest Monthly Sales in India

Celebrating 25 years in India, Skoda achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in March 2025, delivering 7,422 units. The company currently offers three models in India—the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia—with a goal of reaching 100,000 annual sales by 2026. Looking ahead, Skoda plans to expand its lineup with the next-generation Kodiaq, Superb, and Octavia, though specific launch dates remain undisclosed. Additionally, Skoda is gearing up to introduce its first electric vehicle (EV) in India by September.

With growing demand and increased production capacity, the Skoda Kylaq is set to further strengthen the brand’s presence in the Indian market.
