Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has officially been launched in India, marking a significant step for Royal Enfield into the electric mobility space. Priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the brand is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option that lowers the upfront cost to ₹1.99 lakh, making it more accessible to EV buyers.
Bookings and test rides for the Flying Flea C6 will begin from April 10, initially in Bengaluru, with a phased rollout planned across major cities.
Lightweight Electric Motorcycle with Strong Performance
The Flying Flea C6 has been engineered with a clear focus on efficiency and agility. Weighing just 124kg, it stands out as one of the lightest electric motorcycles in its category.
Powering the bike is a 3.91kWh battery pack paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 15.4kW and 60Nm of peak torque. Royal Enfield claims:
- IDC range: 154km
- 0–60km/h acceleration: 3.7 seconds
- Top speed: 115km/h
The motor and battery are integrated into a single compact unit, while a belt-drive system ensures smooth and quiet power delivery to the rear wheel.
Fast Charging with Smart App Control
Charging convenience is a key highlight of the Flying Flea C6. The bike supports:
- 0–100% charge: 2 hours 16 minutes
- 20–80% charge: 1 hour 5 minutes
A dedicated mobile app allows riders to customise charging speed and access various connected features, giving users greater control over battery usage and efficiency.
Unique Design with Premium Components
Other design and hardware highlights include:
- Slim 90-section tyres on 19-inch wheels
- Magnesium-finished battery cooling fins
- Generous 207mm ground clearance
- Seat height of 823mm with a slim profile for easy reach
This design approach not only enhances aesthetics but also improves efficiency by reducing rolling resistance.
Advanced Features and Riding Modes
The Flying Flea C6 is equipped with a 3.5-inch circular TFT display and all-new switchgear. It comes loaded with modern rider aids, including:
- Five riding modes: City, Rain, Highway, Sport and Custom
- Adjustable regenerative braking
- Lean-sensitive traction control
- Dual-channel ABS (rear switchable)
These features position the C6 as a tech-forward offering in the premium electric motorcycle segment.
Price Positioning and Market Placement
At ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Flying Flea C6 sits above all 350cc motorcycles from Royal Enfield and even surpasses the Guerrilla 450 in terms of pricing. While its cost may seem steep, the use of premium materials like aluminium and magnesium, along with its niche appeal, sets it apart.
In the broader EV space, it loosely overlaps with models like the Ultraviolette F77, but the Flying Flea C6 targets a different kind of buyer—someone looking for a lightweight, stylish, and exclusive urban electric motorcycle.
Availability and Rollout Plan
Royal Enfield is adopting a phased launch strategy for the Flying Flea C6:
- Phase 1: Bengaluru (bookings and test rides from April 10)
- Next चरण: Expansion to other metro cities
Should You Consider It?
The Flying Flea C6 is not aimed at mass-market buyers. Instead, it caters to enthusiasts who value design, innovation, and exclusivity in an electric motorcycle. Its lightweight build, distinctive styling, and advanced tech make it a unique proposition—albeit at a premium price.
