Renault Triber Facelift India Launch Confirmed for July 23

Renault is all set to introduce the refreshed Triber in India on July 23, marking the first major update for the compact 7-seater MPV since its debut in 2019. While the upcoming facelift focuses mainly on cosmetic enhancements and added equipment, the mechanical setup is expected to stay unchanged.

What’s New on the Outside?

Spy shots and camouflaged prototypes have revealed several exterior changes. The facelifted Triber will sport a reworked front fascia featuring a new grille, updated LED headlamps with revised DRLs, and a redesigned bumper with a larger central air intake. The fog lamps are also expected to get a new housing design, giving the front a more modern appearance.

While the side profile is likely to remain familiar, Renault is expected to offer a fresh set of alloy wheels. The rear section may see updates in the form of new tail-lamp designs and a tweaked rear bumper. However, major structural or body panel changes are not on the cards.

Interior and Features Upgrade

The cabin of the new Triber is likely to benefit from revised upholstery and new interior trims. Alongside these visual changes, Renault is also expected to enhance the equipment list—potentially drawing inspiration from recent updates made to the Nissan Magnite, such as improved infotainment options and added convenience features.

Powertrain Carries Forward

Under the hood, the Triber facelift will continue with the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 72hp and 96Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by the existing 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. Despite long-standing demand, a more powerful turbo-petrol engine is unlikely to be part of this update.

Market Position and Expectations

The Renault Triber remains a unique offering in the Indian market as the only sub-4-metre MPV with a three-row seating layout. Its upcoming sibling from Nissan—expected early next year—will eventually provide buyers with an alternative in this segment. With the updates, the facelifted Triber will likely come at a slightly higher price point than the current model.

The refreshed Triber aims to retain its strong value proposition while offering a more premium look and feel, both inside and out, without altering the core mechanical formula that has made it a practical choice for budget-conscious families.
