Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition Launched At ₹5.15 Lakh

Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition Launched

Renault has introduced a special 10th Anniversary Edition of the Kwid in India, celebrating a decade of its entry-level hatchback. Priced from ₹5.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the limited-run edition brings exclusive cosmetic updates, added safety equipment, and a revised variant lineup for the popular small car.

Limited-Run Celebration Model

The Kwid Anniversary Edition is restricted to just 500 units, making it a collector’s choice for enthusiasts of Renault’s budget-friendly hatchback. Based on the mid-spec Techno trim, the edition is offered in two unique dual-tone shades — Fiery Red with a Black Roof and a new Shadow Grey with a Black Roof.

Styling highlights include yellow accents on the grille, special decals on the doors and C-pillar, and new gloss-black flexi wheels that distinguish it from the standard model.

Exclusive Interior Touches

Inside, the hatchback features a leather-wrapped steering wheel with yellow contrast stitching, matching yellow detailing around the infotainment screen, seats, and door pads. The seats also carry 10th Anniversary Edition embroidery on the headrests, while illuminated scuff plates and puddle lamps add a touch of premium feel.

Updated Safety & Variants

With this update, Renault has streamlined the Kwid’s variant structure to Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Climber, replacing the earlier RXE, RXL, RXT trims.

Safety has also been enhanced across the board:

Evolution AMT ₹5.00 lakh

10th Anniversary Edition ₹5.15 lakh

Engine & Rivals

Mechanically, the Kwid remains unchanged. It continues with the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, producing 68hp and 91Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

The Kwid continues to rival entry-level hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, but now with a more feature-loaded and safety-enhanced package.

A Decade On

Since its launch in 2015, the Renault Kwid has undergone one major facelift (in 2019) and carved its niche as a stylish budget hatchback. While sales have slowed in recent years, the GST-driven price cut combined with this Anniversary Edition could revive interest in the model as it enters its second decade in India.
