Porsche Macan with Design Package Launched at Rs 96.05 Lakh in India

Porsche Macan with Design Package Launched

Porsche has introduced a special edition of its Macan SUV in India, called the Macan with Design Package, priced at Rs 96.05 lakh (ex-showroom). This limited-run version enhances the SUV’s appeal with a host of cosmetic upgrades both inside and out.

First 30 Units Get Design Package at No Extra Cost

To make the offering more exclusive, Porsche is extending the Design Package free of cost to the first 30 buyers of the Macan — essentially at the standard SUV’s price. Once the initial units are sold, the package will be offered at an additional Rs 7.5 lakh, even for existing Macan owners looking to upgrade.

What’s New in the Design Package?

The Design Package includes several visual enhancements. On the outside, it gets a sportier exhaust tip, LED puddle lamps, tinted LED tail-lamps, coloured hub caps, and blacked-out ORVMs. The highlight is the Sport Design Package — typically priced at Rs 2.2 lakh — which adds redesigned body-coloured front and rear aprons and side skirts, giving the SUV a more athletic stance.

Inside the cabin, the Design Package brings a more premium touch with a black gear knob and the Carbon Interior Package (also worth Rs 2.2 lakh). This introduces carbon-fibre accents on the dashboard and door panels, adding to the Macan’s sporty character.

Performance Remains Unchanged

There are no mechanical upgrades on this special edition. It continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 265hp and 400Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 6.4 seconds, which can drop to 6.2 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package.

Price Comparison with Rivals

Even without the Design Package, the Porsche Macan is positioned as a more premium offering compared to its segment rivals. Competitors like the Audi Q5 (Rs 68 lakh–73.79 lakh), BMW X3 (Rs 75.80 lakh–77.80 lakh), Mercedes-Benz GLC (Rs 78.30 lakh), and the refreshed Volvo XC60 (Rs 71.90 lakh) undercut the Macan significantly in pricing. However, Porsche’s badge value and the Macan’s dynamic appeal continue to command a higher premium.
