This November is set to bring exciting new entries to the automotive world, with four major car unveilings and launches on the horizon. Among these are two highly anticipated Maruti models, a compact SUV from Skoda, and a high-performance sedan from Mercedes. Here’s what to expect:
Maruti Suzuki eVX – Unveiling on November 4
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to showcase the production version of its eVX electric SUV globally on November 4 in Milan, Italy. First seen in concept form at the 2023 Auto Expo, the eVX marks Maruti’s entry into the born-electric segment, and it’s a strategic product for parent company Suzuki. Significant production will be based in India, with a focus on exporting to Europe and Japan. Equipped with a 60kWh battery and an estimated range of 500km, the eVX will also feature an AWD system. Although Indian buyers won’t see it in showrooms until early 2025, it will make its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo that year. Price details are expected in March 2025.
Skoda Kylaq – Unveiling on November 6
Skoda will lift the veil on its new compact SUV, the Kylaq, on November 6. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform shared with the Kushaq, the Kylaq is designed to fit the sub-4-meter category, giving Skoda its first entry into India’s bustling compact SUV market. The Kylaq will showcase Skoda’s latest “Modern Solid” design language while retaining visual cues from the Kushaq for a cohesive family look. Inside, expect a layout similar to the Kushaq, powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine with options for both manual and automatic 6-speed gearboxes. The pricing announcement is expected by early 2025.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire – Launch on November 11
Hot on the heels of the eVX, Maruti will launch the new generation of its popular Dzire compact sedan on November 11. Built on the same platform as the upcoming Swift, the Dzire will sport a sharper, more refined look that stands apart from its hatchback counterpart. Highlights include a potential segment-first electric sunroof, while much of the interior and features are expected to carry over from the current model. Under the hood, it will feature Maruti’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine with a petrol-CNG variant also on offer.
Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance – Launch on November 12
The highly awaited AMG C63 from Mercedes-Benz debuts in India on November 12, bringing a fresh plug-in hybrid powertrain. In place of the traditional V8, this model combines a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, delivering an impressive 680hp in total. A 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive provide agile performance, complemented by four-wheel steering. The model includes a 6.1kWh battery that enables a 13km electric-only range. Unique AMG design elements on the interior and exterior, like the AMG grille and enhanced steering wheel, further distinguish this high-performance sedan from the regular C-Class.
November promises a lot for car enthusiasts, from groundbreaking EVs to sporty luxury models—something for every taste in the auto world.
