Nissan Magnite CNG Set for April Launch as Dealer-Fitted Kit

Nissan is set to introduce a CNG variant of the Magnite by April this year, following in the footsteps of its sibling, the Renault Kiger. Sources confirm that the CNG conversion will be available as a dealer-level accessory, similar to the Renault models, including the Kiger, Kwid, and Triber.

Nissan Magnite CNG: What to Expect?

Nissan has yet to release an official statement regarding the launch.

Rising Demand for CNG Vehicles in India

The Indian CNG car market witnessed a remarkable 35% year-on-year growth, with 7,15,213 units sold last year. Maruti Suzuki dominates the segment with a 71.6% market share, followed by Tata Motors (16.13%), Hyundai (10.04%), and Toyota (2.21%).

As CNG gains traction among buyers, Honda and Renault have recently introduced dealer-fitted CNG kits, with Nissan set to join the trend. The addition of a CNG variant could make the Magnite an even more appealing choice in the compact SUV segment.
