Skoda has reintroduced the performance-oriented Octavia RS to the Indian market, priced at ₹49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Limited to just 100 units, this fully imported (CBU) model has already sold out within days of bookings opening on October 6. The 2025 Octavia RS marks the return of one of India’s most celebrated enthusiast sedans, bringing sharper styling, a more powerful engine, and a host of premium tech.
Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Price and Positioning
At ₹49.99 lakh, the new Octavia RS sits just below the Volkswagen Golf GTI (₹50.91 lakh), its closest sibling rival. It also occupies a unique niche between mainstream performance sedans and luxury sport models like the BMW M340i and Audi S5 Sportback, both of which are significantly pricier and more powerful.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood lies the familiar EA888 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 265hp and 370Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DSG) sending power to the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0–100kph time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 250kph, making this the most powerful Octavia ever offered in India.
A sports exhaust system enhances the RS’ sonic appeal, though Skoda has opted not to include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) in the India-spec version. In global markets, DCC automatically adjusts suspension damping and steering feedback based on driving conditions for a more engaging experience.
Exterior Design and Colours
The 2025 Octavia RS carries a sporty, purposeful stance thanks to its RS body kit, black detailing, and 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. The sedan can be had in five exterior colours: Candy White, Magic Black, Mamba Green, Race Blue, and Velvet Red. Distinct RS badging, a lip spoiler, and Matrix LED headlamps round off the aggressive look.
