New-Gen Audi Q3 India Launch Confirmed for 2026

New-Gen Audi Q3 India Launch Confirmed for 2026

Audi’s popular entry-level luxury SUV, the Q3, is set to return in an all-new avatar. The third-generation Q3, which made its global debut in June 2025, will arrive in India in 2026 — with a launch expected around the third quarter of the year.

India Gets Priority

Unlike the previous generation that reached Indian shores almost four years after its international reveal, Audi is prioritising the new Q3 for our market this time. This means it could arrive ahead of other upcoming models from the brand such as the new A5 sedan (replacing the A4), the next-gen Q5 and A6, as well as the all-electric Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron Sportback.

Engine, Gearbox & Platform

For India, the Q3 will be offered with a 204hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system will be standard, making the Q3 unique in its segment — no other entry-level luxury SUV combines petrol power with AWD.

Underpinning the SUV is the latest version of the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, which also supports petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options in Europe.

Bigger, Sharper, More Stylish

The new Q3 is about 40mm longer than the outgoing model, with the added length noticeable in the front overhangs. Design highlights include split LED headlamps, a bolder grille, sculpted lines, and split tail-lamps that give the SUV a sportier stance. As before, Audi will offer the Q3 in two body styles — the traditional SUV and the sleeker Q3 Sportback.

Tech-Laden Cabin

Inside, the new Q3 adopts Audi’s latest design language with a significant upgrade in tech. A 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system dominates the dashboard, complemented by 11.9-inch digital dials and a head-up display. Expect premium materials, improved space, and a more driver-focused cockpit compared to the outgoing version.

Expected Price & Rivals

When it arrives, the new Audi Q3 is expected to be priced at around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on rivals such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, both of which have been strong sellers in the entry-luxury SUV space.

Why It Matters

The Q3 has always been a crucial model for Audi India. It was one of the brand’s bestsellers after its launch in 2012, but its discontinuation in 2020 and the delayed launch of the second-gen version hurt Audi’s momentum. With the third-gen Q3, Audi is looking to recapture lost ground in the competitive luxury SUV segment.
