JSW MG Motor India has officially announced the complete pricing for the MG Windsor EV, now inclusive of the battery pack. The new electric SUV starts at ₹13.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base Excite variant, with prices reaching up to ₹15.50 lakh for the top-spec Essence trim. This announcement follows the earlier reveal of a version where the battery was offered separately on a rental basis, with prices starting from ₹9.99 lakh.

MG is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery pack for the first owner, a guaranteed 60% buyback value after three years, and one year of complimentary charging at public chargers via the eHUB mobile application. MG Windsor Specifications, Battery, and Charging

The MG Windsor is equipped with a 38kWh LFP battery featuring prismatic cells, offering a claimed range of 331km on a full charge. It has a front-axle-mounted motor delivering 136hp and 200Nm of torque. The EV offers four driving modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport.

In terms of charging, the Windsor supports fast charging at up to 45kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 0 to 80% in just 55 minutes. Additionally, it comes with options for 3.3kW and 7.7kW AC chargers, which can fully charge the battery in approximately 14 hours and 6.5 hours, respectively.

However, both rivals are priced higher, with the Nexon EV ranging from ₹14.49 lakh to ₹19.29 lakh, and the XUV400 priced between ₹15.49 lakh and ₹19.39 lakh. Additionally, while the Windsor offers a claimed range of 331km, both competitors provide higher claimed ranges of 465km (Nexon) and 456km (XUV400), despite having similarly sized batteries.

The MG Windsor presents a more affordable option in the electric SUV segment, with competitive features and a balanced performance for its price.
