Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled its ambitious launch plan for 2024, which includes the introduction of nine new vehicles. Among these releases are at least two new AMG models, featuring advanced hybrid technology derived from Formula 1.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S e-Performance boasts an impressive system output of 680hp and 1,020Nm of torque, powered by a combination of a 476hp turbo-petrol engine and a 204hp electric motor fueled by a 6.1kWh battery.
On the other hand, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 e-Performance features an updated twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine paired with a rear-axle-mounted asynchronous electric motor and a 13.1kWh lithium-ion battery. This combination delivers a staggering 802hp and 1,430Nm of torque. Both models showcase distinctive AMG design elements, aerodynamic enhancements, and advanced infotainment systems, along with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic+ AWD system.
All-new E-Class, EVs Incoming
Mercedes-Benz India also announced the launch of the all-new E-Class this year. Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, mentioned that the new E-Class LWB will be available by the end of the year, bridging a temporary absence of the E-Class in their lineup.
Additionally, the brand intends to introduce three new electric vehicles (EVs) during 2024, including the highly anticipated Maybach EQS.
