Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition Launched in India at ₹4.30 Crore

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition Launched

Mercedes-Benz has introduced an ultra-exclusive version of its iconic SUV – the AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition – for the Indian market, priced at ₹4.30 crore (ex-showroom). This bespoke variant is limited to just 30 units and marks the first time the German marque has developed a G-Class edition with India-specific design inspiration.

Only for Select Customers

Mercedes has confirmed that this limited-edition model will be offered exclusively to existing owners of its top-end vehicles. With a premium of ₹66 lakh over the standard G 63, the Collector’s Edition sets a new benchmark for exclusivity. Bookings are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in Q4 2025.

Inspired by the Indian Monsoon

Designed in collaboration between Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz R&D India, the Collector’s Edition draws cues from India’s dramatic monsoon landscapes. Two bespoke Manufaktur matte finishes are offered – Mid Green Magno, reflecting the verdant greens of India’s rain-soaked forests, and Red Magno, inspired by the country’s rich, iron-tinged soil.

The exterior is further distinguished by a unique ‘One of Thirty’ badge mounted on the rear spare wheel cover, exclusive gold-finished 22-inch AMG alloy wheels, and a specially styled side protection strip.

Tailored Luxury Inside

The interior also sees a high level of personalisation, featuring two-tone Manufaktur Catalana Beige and Black Nappa leather upholstery, complemented by natural walnut wood trim across the dashboard. The highlight, however, is the option for buyers to engrave their name on the dashboard’s grab handle, adding a truly personal touch.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the SUV retains its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, now enhanced with 48V mild-hybrid assistance. This setup generates 585hp and 850Nm of torque, with an added 22hp boost from the hybrid system. Power is transmitted through a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, paired with the AMG 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. Acceleration from 0-100kph is dispatched in a rapid 4.4 seconds.

A Niche Offering for a Niche Audience

The G-Class has always had a strong following in India, with the standard G 63 often facing waiting periods of 12 to 18 months. Mercedes has even set up a special ‘G Corner’ at its Delhi showroom, reflecting the model’s dedicated clientele. With the popularity of the G-Class and Manufaktur customisation in India, demand for this Collector’s Edition is expected to be intense.

Though the allocation is extremely limited, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that more India-themed special editions are in development for its high-end portfolio, signalling a broader focus on bespoke offerings for the Indian market.
