Maruti Invicto Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

Maruti Invicto Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

Maruti Suzuki’s flagship MPV, the Invicto, has earned a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests, making it the brand’s third model to achieve the coveted score after the Dzire sedan and the Victoris SUV. The rating applies uniformly across all three Invicto variants – Zeta+ (7-seat), Zeta+ (8-seat), and Alpha+ (7-seat).

Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)

The Invicto performed exceptionally well in adult safety tests, scoring 30.43 out of 32 points.

Minor deductions were made as the driver and front passenger’s chest areas registered only adequate protection, and the driver’s shin also showed similar results. Interestingly, the Invicto’s badge-engineered sibling, the Toyota Innova Hycross, scored slightly higher at 30.47/32, making the difference negligible.

Child Occupant Protection (COP)

For child safety, the Invicto achieved an impressive 45 out of 49 points, identical to the Hycross.

Tests were conducted with 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies seated in rearward-facing child seats secured via ISOFIX mounts and a support leg. While ISOFIX anchors are standard on the outboard rear seats, both MPVs miss out on an integrated child restraint system.

Standard Safety Equipment

Maruti has equipped the Invicto generously in terms of safety. Key features include:

Price Range

The Maruti Invicto is priced between ₹24.97 lakh and ₹28.61 lakh (ex-showroom, India), reinforcing its position as a premium MPV offering strong safety credentials along with practicality.
