The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has secured a 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests, making it the safest Maruti car to be evaluated under India’s new safety standards. The electric SUV previously earned a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP tests conducted in September 2025, demonstrating strong performance in both Indian and international assessments.
The e Vitara is the fourth Maruti Suzuki vehicle to be tested by Bharat NCAP, following the Dzire, Baleno and Invicto.

Bharat NCAP assessed the top-spec Alpha variant of the e Vitara, equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack. The rating also applies to the Delta (49 kWh) and Zeta (61 kWh) trims.

In the frontal offset test, the e Vitara provided good protection for the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet. The protection offered to the chest and tibias was rated as adequate.
In both the deformable barrier and side pole impact tests, the vehicle delivered good protection to all critical body regions, highlighting strong structural integrity and occupant safety performance.
