Price Hike Due to Safety Upgrade
Previously, the Brezza offered only dual front airbags as standard, with additional side and curtain airbags exclusive to the ZXI+. With the latest update, all trims now come equipped with six airbags. The price increase varies by variant, with the entry-level LXI models seeing a ₹15,000 hike, while the VXI and ZXI trims have risen by ₹5,000 and ₹11,000, respectively.
Maruti Brezza: Variants and Competition
The Brezza, positioned as one of Maruti Suzuki’s contenders in the compact SUV segment, rivals models like the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Skoda Kushaq. It is available in 11 variants, with the ZXI and ZXI+ trims offering dual-tone color options.
Powering the Brezza is a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 100hp, while the CNG version delivers 88hp. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic (for petrol variants). With the latest revision, the Brezza is now priced between ₹8.69 lakh and ₹14.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
