Mahindra has announced the pricing for its flagship electric coupe-SUV, the XEV 9e. The top-spec Pack Three is priced at ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the base variant, Pack One, costs ₹21.90 lakh. The price of the mid-range Pack Two is yet to be disclosed. Notably, these prices exclude the cost of the charger, which must be purchased separately.
Bookings for the XEV 9e will open on February 14, with deliveries scheduled to start in early March.
BE 6 SUV Pricing Update
Mahindra also unveiled the price of the Pack Three variant for its BE 6 SUV, which shares the INGLO platform with the XEV 9e. However, the XEV series represents a distinct sub-brand within Mahindra’s EV lineup, separate from the BE range.
Performance, Range, and Charging Options
The Mahindra XEV 9e offers two battery configurations:
- 59kWh battery paired with a 231hp motor
- 79kWh battery paired with a 286hp motor
Both variants deliver a consistent torque output of 380Nm, with the larger battery enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.8 seconds.
The MIDC-certified range is impressive, with the 79kWh variant offering 656km on a single charge and the 59kWh version delivering 542km. Charging options include:
- AC chargers of 7.2kW or 11kW (purchased separately)
- A 175kW DC fast charger, which can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes
Exterior Colors and Interior Features
The XEV 9e is available in eight striking colors: Tango Red, Everest White, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, Gold Dawn, Ruby Velvet, Deep Forest, and Desert Myst.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a three-screen setup, each measuring 12.3 inches. The flat-bottom steering wheel features an illuminated infinity logo, a signature design element of the XEV range.
Other highlights include:
- 665-liter boot space and a 150-liter frunk
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Push-button start/stop
- Automatic climate control with rear AC vents
- Height-adjustable driver’s seat and seat belt
- Tilt-and-telescopic steering adjustment
- Type-C charging ports
- 60:40 split-folding rear seats
Additionally, advanced systems like tyre pressure monitoring, brake-by-wire, and an electric parking brake enhance the driving experience.
