Mahindra has kicked off an aggressive expansion of its EV infrastructure by announcing a new network of 180kW fast chargers across India. The company plans to install 250 of these Charge_IN stations in the first phase, with the larger goal of crossing 1,000 charging touchpoints by 2027. Two stations in this network are already operational.
First Charge_IN stations open on key highway routes
The inaugural chargers have been set up at Hoskote on NH75 near Bengaluru, and at Murthal on NH44 outside Delhi. Each location houses a pair of 180kW chargers capable of powering up to four electric vehicles at the same time, making them suitable for long-distance highway travel.
More stations coming along major corridors
Mahindra says the remaining 248 stations will be strategically placed along high-traffic highways and paired with facilities such as restaurants and cafés. This ensures EV users have convenient stopover options while their vehicles top up.
Accessible to all EV owners
Mahindra’s upcoming electric models – including the BE 6, XEV 9e and the soon-to-launch XEV 9S – will be able to charge from 20% to 80% in roughly 20 minutes using these 180kW units. Mahindra owners can locate, access and pay for charging through the Me4U app, while EVs from other brands can plug in via the dedicated Charge_IN by Mahindra app.
