Mahindra’s highly anticipated Thar Roxx, which had its prices revealed on Independence Day, will officially be available for online booking starting October 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. The booking amount is set at Rs 21,000, Autocar India has confirmed.
Dealers have already begun accepting unofficial bookings for all variants and powertrain options. The Thar Roxx comes in MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L variants, with prices ranging from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh. Customers interested in the 4×4 versions, priced between Rs 18.79 lakh and Rs 22.49 lakh, can select from the MX5 (manual gearbox), AX5L (automatic gearbox), and AX7L (offering both manual and automatic options).
The Thar Roxx is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines found in the Thar 3-door and Scorpio-N, though with adjusted power outputs. Both engines are paired with manual and automatic transmissions, but only the diesel variant offers an optional 4×4 system.
Test drives for the Thar Roxx began on September 14, and deliveries are expected to commence by Dussehra, October 12, or by the end of October, according to dealer reports.
