KTM 390 Enduro R Launched in India at ₹3.37 Lakh

KTM 390 Enduro R Launched

KTM has introduced the 390 Enduro R in the Indian market, priced at ₹3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new dual-sport motorcycle sits between the 390 Adventure X and the standard 390 Adventure, offering a more off-road-focused experience while borrowing key elements from its siblings.

Key Highlights:

Shared DNA, Off-Road Focus

The 390 Enduro R shares its core mechanicals — including the frame, swingarm, and 399cc liquid-cooled LC4c engine — with the 390 Adventure range. This engine produces 46hp and 39Nm, identical to the outputs of the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure.

For the Indian market, KTM (via Bajaj) has tuned the Enduro R with the same suspension setup found on the 390 Adventure. This results in slightly reduced suspension travel compared to the international version (230mm front and rear), but makes the bike more accessible with a lower seat height of 860mm and ground clearance of 253mm (down from 272mm abroad).

Compact, Lightweight, and Purpose-Built

The design sticks closely to its global counterpart, featuring minimalistic bodywork and a narrow profile. The Enduro R’s lightweight nature is aided by a smaller 9-litre fuel tank integrated into the single-piece seat, keeping the kerb weight down to just 177kg.

Braking hardware includes a smaller 285mm front disc (compared to the 320mm unit on the 390 Adventure), while the rear retains the same 240mm disc.

Positioning and Rivals

The KTM 390 Enduro R neatly fills the gap between the entry-level Adventure X and the standard 390 Adventure. With its stronger off-road focus, it competes against lighter, less powerful dual-sport options like the Kawasaki KLX230.

KTM has also confirmed that the international-spec 390 Enduro R — with its taller suspension and higher ground clearance — will arrive in India in the coming months.
