Kia EV4 Unveiled

Kia has officially unveiled the interior and technical specifications of its all-electric EV4, following an exterior preview a few days ago. The EV4 will be available in both hatchback and sedan body styles, with the latter offering an impressive range of up to 630km on the WLTP cycle.

Battery Options and Range

The EV4 will come with two battery options: a 58.3kWh standard pack and a larger 81.4kWh long-range pack. The sedan variant boasts a maximum range of 630km, while the hatchback offers up to 590km on a single charge.

Battery and Performance Overview:

Variant Standard Battery (58.3kWh) Long-Range Battery (81.4kWh)
EV4 Sedan Range 430km 630km
EV4 Hatchback Range 410km 590km

Despite the different body styles, both variants share the same power output, charging speeds, and acceleration times. The EV4 sedan is set to take on the Tesla Model 3 globally, while the hatchback will compete with the Volkswagen ID.3 and Volvo EX40.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the EV4 features a modern and tech-laden cabin with a 30-inch panoramic display, comprising three screens. This includes two 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment, along with a 5.3-inch screen for climate controls. The setup is reminiscent of the one seen in the recently launched Kia Syros.

Other notable features include:

Exterior Design

The EV4 sedan measures 4,730mm in length, making it comparable in size to a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It closely resembles its 2023 concept version, with a new radar-equipped grille, redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, and sporty wing-shaped bumpers on the GT Line variant.

The EV4 hatchback, at 4,430mm, is slightly shorter than the EV6 SUV but carries a distinct design language. It features:

Launch and Expected Pricing

Kia will launch the EV4 first in South Korea in March 2025, followed by other global markets. While pricing remains undisclosed, if introduced in India, it would be positioned below the upcoming Kia EV6 facelift, which is already available for booking.
