Honda Two-Wheelers Get Cheaper by Up to ₹18800 After GST Rate Cut

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced significant price reductions across its scooter and motorcycle portfolio following the recent GST revision. With the government lowering GST on two-wheelers under 350cc from 28% to 18%, Honda has passed the full benefit on to its customers, making popular models more affordable just ahead of the festive season.

Scooters Get Cheaper

Honda’s best-seller, the Activa 110, now comes with a price benefit of up to ₹7,874, while its sportier sibling, the Dio 110, sees a reduction of ₹7,157.
In the 125cc scooter segment, the Activa 125 becomes more attractive with savings of ₹8,259, and the Dio 125 gets a price cut of ₹8,042.

Price Cuts on Commuter Motorcycles

Among commuter bikes, the Shine 100 and Shine 100 DX receive benefits of ₹5,672 and ₹6,256, respectively. The Livo 110 and Shine 125 also see reductions of ₹7,165 and ₹7,443.
The SP125 now gets a healthy GST benefit of ₹8,447, while the Unicorn and SP160 are cheaper by ₹9,948 and ₹10,635, respectively.

Premium Motorcycles Also Benefit

The recently launched CB125 Hornet sees a reduction of ₹9,229. In the higher capacity segment, the Hornet 2.0 and NX200 now come with benefits of ₹13,026 and ₹13,978.

The biggest winners, however, are from Honda’s CB350 series, which enjoys the maximum savings:

• CB350 – ₹18,887

• CB350 H’ness – ₹18,598

• CB350RS – ₹18,857

Strategic Timing Ahead of Festive Season

Honda expects these price cuts to give a strong push to demand, especially among first-time buyers in urban and rural markets. The company highlighted that the timing of the GST reduction, just before the festive season, will likely translate into higher showroom footfalls and stronger sales momentum.

At the same time, Honda acknowledged the challenges for its premium lineup above 350cc, which now attracts a steeper 40% GST. Models from its BigWing portfolio—apart from the CB350 range—will feel the brunt of this higher tax rate.
