Honda has unveiled the latest version of its Activa 125 scooter, introducing a new 4.2-inch TFT display and compliance with the upcoming OBD2B norms, set to take effect in 2025.
Key Updates and Features
The standout upgrade is the addition of a TFT display, replacing the older LCD unit in the top-tier variants. This advanced display is compatible with Honda’s RoadSync app, enabling features like call alerts and navigation assistance. Additional conveniences include a USB Type-C charging port for mobile devices.
While the external design and mechanical components remain largely unchanged, the Activa 125 continues to house a 123.9cc fuel-injected engine delivering 8.4 hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a start-stop system, improving fuel efficiency.
Pricing and Variants
The updated Activa 125 is initially available in two variants:
- DLX Variant: ₹94,442
- H-Smart Variant (Keyless Ignition): ₹97,146
These prices represent a notable increase from the previous starting price of ₹80,256, attributed to the inclusion of new emissions technology and advanced features. More affordable variants with fewer features, such as drum brakes, are expected to launch later, providing a lower entry point for buyers.
Competition
In the family-friendly 125cc scooter category, the only other model offering a TFT display is the TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect variant, priced at ₹90,721.
Honda has also introduced six color options for the Activa 125, adding to its appeal as a modern and tech-friendly commuter scooter.
