Harley Davidson X350 and X500 Models Leak Before Highly-anticipated Launch

Harley Davidson X350 and X500 Models Leak Before Highly-anticipated Launch

Harley-Davidson, the iconic American motorcycle manufacturer, has long been rumored to be working on a range of affordable, low-capacity models in collaboration with Chinese giant Qianjiang Motorcycle. The X350, the smaller of the two motorcycles to emerge from this partnership, has now been fully unveiled ahead of its official launch in China on March 10th.

Both motorcycles feature parallel-twin engines, a departure from the V-Twin engines that have been a staple of Harley-Davidson’s motorcycles since the company’s inception in 1903. The X350 and its larger sibling, the X500, will both be powered by liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engines that produce between 30-35 hp and 50 hp, respectively, based on QJMotor’s other motorcycles of similar displacement.

One of the hallmarks of Harley-Davidson’s design language is its neo-retro roadster styling, which is also evident on both the X350 and X500. These motorcycles feature all-LED lighting, a USD fork/offset mono-shock suspension system, and disc brakes at both ends. While the analog speedometer with a small digital inset suggests that the company is keeping costs low, both motorcycles will come equipped with ABS.

While the X350 and X500 will initially be available only in China, they have been included in Harley-Davidson’s international line-up, suggesting that they may be sold in other markets in the future. In India, the motorcycles will be co-developed by Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson.
