Formula Bharat 2025: Yeti Racing and Team Kratos Racing Electric Clinch Top Honors

Formula Bharat 2025

The 2025 edition of Formula Bharat, held from January 22 to 27 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, showcased the incredible talent and ingenuity of student teams from across India and Nepal. This year marked the ninth edition of the competition, with participants vying for top honors in two categories: Combustion Vehicles (CV) and Electric Vehicles (EV).

Yeti Racing Shines in Combustion Vehicle Category

In the Combustion Vehicle category, Yeti Racing from the School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology emerged as the overall champions. Their impressive performance, coupled with their mastery of both static and dynamic events, propelled them to the top spot. Velocita Racing from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology secured second place, while Pravega Racing from VIT Vellore took third.

Kratos Racing Electric Dominates Electric Vehicle Category

On the electric side, Team Kratos Racing Electric from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering claimed the top prize in the Electric Vehicle category. The team showcased exceptional skill across all events, from acceleration to endurance, leaving their competitors behind. Raftar Formula Racing Electric from IIT Madras and Formula Manipal Electric from Manipal Academy of Higher Education rounded out the top three.

A Comprehensive Challenge for Future Engineers

Formula Bharat provides an unparalleled platform for students to apply their engineering knowledge in a real-world setting, pushing the limits of both design and performance. The competition is divided into two segments: Static Events, which assess engineering design, cost, and business plans, and Dynamic Events, including acceleration, skid pad, autocross, braking, efficiency, and endurance.

The 2025 edition featured 51 teams from India, alongside an international team from Kathmandu, Nepal. The winners were celebrated not only for their engineering expertise but also for their professionalism and attention to detail.
