Facelifted 2023 Tata Safari Seen For The First Time With Adas

Tata’s SUV flagship, the Safari, is ready for an update, and that update is coming soon. The updated model’s test mule has been sighted, and it’s covered up. It’s still heavily disguised, but we can make out a radar module in the front bumper, indicating that it will have advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features.

The Safari may include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and front-collision warning systems, just like other ADAS-equipped vehicles on the market. Tata has previously dropped hints that it plans to debut its radar-based technology at the Auto Expo 2023. We just caught an exclusive glimpse of the updated Harrier, which was equipped with a radar module.

The test mule doesn’t appear to be different from the previous model in any significant way aside from the radar module and a slightly modified front grille. Although we haven’t seen the inside of it yet, we can anticipate cosmetic upgrades and new upholstery.

The refreshed Safari will look the same as the present model, and the 2.0-liter diesel engine that produces 170 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque will likely remain in place. This powertrain can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The updated Safari should have a few new features after the update. At the 2023 Auto Expo, Tata plans to display its latest developments in connected car technology. We anticipate a new infotainment unit to arrive soon, powered by a sophisticated operating system and including enhanced telematics and remote capabilities. Current iterations of the Tata Safari have such conveniences as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, nine-speaker sound system, wireless phone charger, air purifier, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and a six-way-adjustable driver seat.

The 2023 Tata Safari could make its debut at the Auto Expo and go on sale sometime in April for roughly Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700 are just few of the vehicles it will keep up with in the market.
