Exciting Bike and Scooter Launches in January 2025

The new year kicks off with a bang as multiple manufacturers gear up to unveil a range of bikes and scooters this January. Here’s a look at 11 noteworthy models debuting this month:

Ather 450X & 450S

Ather is launching the updated versions of its popular electric scooters, the 450X and 450S, on January 4. These models will feature software enhancements, traction control, the new “Magic Twist” feature, and refreshed color options. While the battery, motor, and chassis remain unchanged, the price is expected to increase by ₹3,000–₹6,000.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200

Bajaj is bringing back the Pulsar RS200 with subtle updates. Teased recently, the refreshed model may sport new color schemes, minor styling tweaks, and an upgraded instrument cluster similar to those on other Pulsar models like the N150 and NS200. A launch is anticipated later this month, though mechanical changes remain unconfirmed.

Royal Enfield Scram 440

The Scram 440, unveiled last year at Motoverse, is set to arrive this month. Upgrades include an engine displacement increase from 411cc to 443cc, producing 25.4 hp and 34 Nm of torque. The Scram also gets a 6-speed gearbox, retaining its signature rugged design.

Royal Enfield Classic 650

Royal Enfield’s Classic 650, based on the Shotgun 650 platform, combines retro styling with modern engineering. Expected to be priced between ₹3.59 lakh and ₹3.94 lakh, this model will offer four distinct color options and refined underpinnings.

Hero Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250, and Xpulse 210

Hero will reveal its Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250, and Xpulse 210 on January 19, following their showcase at EICMA 2024. The 250cc bikes deliver 30 hp and 25 Nm, while the Xpulse 210 offers 24.6 hp and 20.7 Nm. Prices for these models are likely to fall in the ₹2 lakh–₹2.3 lakh range.

Honda Activa E & QC1

Honda’s electric scooters, the Activa E and QC1, are set to make their Indian market debut. The Activa E features dual 1.5 kWh removable batteries with a claimed 102 km range, while the QC1 offers an 80 km range. Battery swapping will be available at select dealerships.

KTM 390 Adventure X, Adventure S & 390 Enduro R

KTM is bringing three variants of the 390 Adventure lineup to India. The Adventure X is the entry-level model, while the Adventure S and Enduro R offer upgraded features. The Adventure S includes a 19-inch rear and 21-inch front wheel, while the Enduro R gets an 18-inch rear wheel. Both models will likely share the 390 Duke’s proven engine, with cruise control making its debut in the segment.
