Hyundai is getting ready to launch the next-generation Verna next month. Production has already started, and a recent report says that deliveries should begin around mid-April.
Bookings for the new Verna started on February 13, 2023. The car will be available in four versions: EX, S, SX, and SX (O).
The exterior of the new Verna is based on the brand’s “Sensuous Sportiness” philosophy. At the front, it has a wide grille with an LED light bar, and at the back, it has slim LED taillights with an LED strip in the middle. On the inside, the car is likely to have a dual-screen setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the middle and a digital instrument cluster. Higher-end models will come with ADAS.
The Verna will no longer be sold with a diesel engine. It is being replaced with a brand-new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT. The car will also have a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that will be available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT.
