BYD Seal Pricing and Specifications for India
Anticipated to be priced around Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom, the BYD Seal is set to make a significant impact upon its launch. In the Indian market, BYD offers the Seal EV equipped with an 82.5kWh battery pack, powering the rear wheels through a 230hp, 360Nm motor. Notably, the battery boasts an impressive range of 570km on the WLTP cycle and can be swiftly charged using a 150kW charger, reaching 10-80 percent capacity in just 37 minutes. Alternatively, a standard 11kW charger will achieve a full charge in 8.6 hours. With a weight of 2,055kg, this sedan accelerates to 100kph in a swift 5.9 seconds.
Innovative Design and Features
Drawing inspiration from the Ocean X concept of 2021, the BYD Seal embraces the brand’s signature “ocean aesthetics” design philosophy and ocean-themed nomenclature. Inside, the Seal boasts a rotating 15.6-inch infotainment system integrated into the center console, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver and a heads-up display for enhanced convenience.
Upon its debut, the Seal will not directly compete with any existing rivals, yet its pricing positions it against formidable contenders such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the Indian market.
