BMW XM Label Launched in India at ₹3.15 Crore

BMW XM Label Launched

BMW has introduced the XM Label in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹3.15 crore. This high-performance SUV is the most powerful vehicle to come out of BMW’s M division, featuring enhanced mechanicals and unique design elements that distinguish it from the standard XM. Limited to just 500 units globally, only one of these exclusive models is being brought to India.

Performance and Power: What’s New?

The XM Label, which debuted internationally as the “XM Label Red” in April last year, retains the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine found in the standard XM. However, it’s been re-tuned to deliver a staggering 748hp and 1,000Nm of torque—95hp and 200Nm more than the standard model.

While the XM Label offers an electric-only range of 76-82km, slightly less than the standard XM’s 82-89km, it utilizes the same 25.7kWh battery pack. BMW claims the XM Label can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250kph. This can be increased to 290kph with the optional M Driver’s Package. Power is transmitted through an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Distinctive Design Elements

The XM Label is visually distinct thanks to its red accents, including details on the kidney grille, rear diffuser, window surrounds, badges, shoulder lines, and wheel inserts. It is finished in a striking BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black metallic paint and comes with 22-inch M light-alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin features a dramatic black-and-red color scheme, with dual-tone seats and red stitching that punctuates the all-black interior. The exclusivity of the model is further highlighted by a plaque beneath the control display, reading “1 of 500.”

Loaded with Technology and Luxury

The XM Label comes equipped with BMW’s latest tech, including the Curved Display that combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Other features include a head-up display, dedicated Boost mode, a premium Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system with 20 speakers and a 1,475-watt amplifier, and safety features like six airbags, Active Roll Stabilization, and Dynamic Brake Control. The vehicle also benefits from BMW’s Adaptive M Suspension Professional.

Price and Competition

Priced at a ₹55 lakh premium over the standard XM (₹2.60 crore), the XM Label is positioned against other luxury performance SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus, Audi RSQ8, and Aston Martin DBX. While the competition is fierce, the XM Label stands out with its unparalleled power, exclusive design, and limited availability.
