BMW Motorrad has officially launched the new BMW F 450 GS in India, with prices starting at Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as the brand’s new entry-level GS adventure motorcycle, the F 450 GS replaces the discontinued G 310 GS and brings a more powerful twin-cylinder engine, lower weight, and a stronger feature list.
Bookings for the motorcycle are now open across India, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2026. The bike is manufactured locally by TVS Motor Company at its Hosur facility.

The new BMW F 450 GS is available in three variants:
- F 450 GS Base – Rs 4.70 lakh
- F 450 GS Exclusive – Rs 4.90 lakh
- F 450 GS GS Trophy – Rs 5.30 lakh

Engine and Performance
Powering the BMW F 450 GS is a new 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces:
- 48 hp at 8,750 rpm
- 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm
The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, while BMW’s Shift Assistant Pro (quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts) is offered from the Exclusive trim onward.
This makes the F 450 GS one of the few twin-cylinder adventure motorcycles in its price bracket.
Chassis, Suspension and Weight
The bike has a claimed kerb weight of 178 kg, helping it remain relatively light for an ADV machine.
Suspension duties are handled by:
- KYB upside-down front forks
- Rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustment
